About Me:  My story starts out like a few of others.  About a year ago, I was been praying to God, begging and pleading with him to make himself apparent in my life. I hadn’t felt his presence, and this worried me. I kept praying and praying, all the while feeling myself becoming ever-further from God. This resulted in me turning into a Deist. Around the same time, I watched Carl Sagan’s Cosmos, and was in true amazement. The concept of evolution, now unfiltered through my mind, became an incredibly beautiful thing, and something that I had to study up on.

For the next few months, I was reading up on evolution (mainly through youtube and google). I discovered a wonderful little book called The Greatest Show on Earth by one Mr. Richard Dawkins. Realizing that Dawkins had an amazing way with words, I got his God Delusion book later, and read through it. I thought it had some good points, and shoved it to the back of my mind. Then, one day in January of 2011, I realized I no longer believed in any form of deity. It was surprisingly easy to come to grips with.
